Florida Photography News is the page that will fill you in on changes and plans for the future at Florida Image Tools. If you want to check just changes, updates and additions since your last visit, this is the place to come first. This is a rapidly expanding and changing site as I continue to add new topics, expand on existing themes and update the tips, equipment, digital darkroom, Florida parks and photo gallery sections of the site. So don’t miss any great Florida photography, open the door and check it all out right here.The Florida Photography News at Florida Image Tools: Recent Additions 713/08: John Chestnut Park, part of the Pinellas County park system, has been added to the Florida Parks section of the site. This is a great place for spotting early morning deer and a variety of raptors and woodpeckers. 7/11/08: Lettuce Lake Park in Hillsborough County has bee added to the Florida Parks section of the site. This is a beautiful area of huge cypress trees and swamp along the Hillsborough River in northeast Tampa. 7/5/08: A lot has been happening off the web site during the past few weeks. I now have three articles with photos submitted to "Everywhere" travel magazine - "The Traveling Digital Photographer", "Nature Is My Great Rejuvenator" about the Largo Nature Preserve and "The Ecuadorean Andes Have Colorful Native Markets". I now have twenty photos submitted to JPG magazine for various themes. Useless Knowledge.com has accepted my article about the symbolism of gravestone carvings and another article on the digital vs. film photography debate should be posted soon. One of my Flickr images was chosen by NowPublic.com to illustrate a piece on laptop computer theft in U.S. airports. I am about to post an article about my latest project illustrating the modified food issue to JPG magazine and continue to build my stock portfolio at BigStockPhoto.com. 6/28/08: The Image Sharing page in the photography tips section of the site has been updated to give you specifics for optimizing image files to share by e-mail. The previous overview page has been moved to the photography tips archive page. 6/27/08: The Manhattan Gallery page has been added to the Florida Travel Photography section of the site. Chick it out for great photos from the heart of New York City. 6/27/08: The General Photography Tips page has been updated. The new photography tip is about why and how to use a split neutral-density filter to save processing time after the shoot. The previous photo tip about basic composition is now on the archive page. 6/26/08: Indian Rocks Beach Nature Preserve has been added to the Florida Parks section of the site. 6/25/08: George McGough Park, in the Largo park system, has been added to the Florida Parks section of the site. 6/23/08: Myakka River State Park has been added to the Florida Parks section and Sand Key Park has become an independent page. 6/22/08: The "Other Places" photo gallery has been eliminated and replaced by the "Southwestern Gallery" in the Florida Travel Photography section of the site. This should make things more organized and less confusing. Photography Services: This page is a recent addition to let you know that I am available for all your photography needs.
