Take Advantage of The Many Florida Parks For Colorful Images

Florida parks are hard to ignore - they are everywhere in great variety - and should be on your list of Florida photography destinations. Most cities and towns have their own free parks for residents and visitors. The state of Florida and every county has a park system. In addition there are national parks, national wildlife refuges and state wildlife refuges. Some parks are even underwater! Historic sites and public botanical gardens provide more choices. Anywhere in the state, you are probably not more than ten minutes away from one of these public treasures.

Many of these parks provide great photography opportunities. Water, fresh or salt, is nearly everywhere in the sunshine state and that means that so are the wading and shore birds. Alligators inhabit most fresh water areas, making swimming chancy in the few places it is allowed. The huge variety of plant life also makes good subjects or backgrounds for photographs.

Since there are so many parks in the sunshine state, there are few crowds, though some are very popular on the weekends. Even when crowded, wildlife and quiet spots can most always be found. The advantage of the more popular parks is that the wildlife is accustomed to having people around and allows a close approach.
