Florida Nature Photography Provides Everyone With Colorful Images To Share
Access to Florida nature photography is usually no farther than the closest local park or beach. Colorful images, with an emphasis on green, are often as close as the edge of the road or parking lot. I live in the middle of town on a standard lot and have screech owls and woodpeckers nesting in the backyard tree. I regularly see opossums and raccoons waddling across the yard. Ospreys and anhinghas fish daily in the small pond shared by the neighborhood. Largo Nature Preserve is less than a quarter mile from one of the busiest roads in Pinellas county but has resident wild turkeys. Florida images exciting enough to share are easy to find. Often, particularly near sunrise and sunset, the sky and clouds are interesting enough all by themselves to warrant a few nature photos. Catching a heron or great egret or pelican flying across such a sky adds even more drama. Frequent morning fogs near the coast provide a touch of mystery to photographs. High-in-the-sky sun with cloudless skies enable very high contrast shots using a polarizing filter. Florida nature pictures are all about taking advantage of what each day gives to you.
