I am John Rivard and photography has been one of my passions since I first picked up an instamatic camera as a child. At one time or another I have used almost every type of camera made from Polaroid to 4”x5” view camera to various medium formats and a wide range of 35mm. My goal with this web site is to share some of my knowledge of photography techniques and equipment to ease and enrich your own photographic journey. This site concentrates on making Florida images because I now live and work in the sunshine state. Most of the photography tips, equipment advice and especially the “inner photography” pages are universal to visual communication anywhere in our universe or beyond.
